Job summary

FirstBank PR is seeking a Business Relationship Officer I to grow and manage client relationships in Puerto Rico. The role focuses on prospecting new clients, building trusted partnerships, and expanding deposits and banking services for commercial customers.

You'll balance new business development with maintenance of existing relationships, adhere to AML/BSA/OFAC policies, and collaborate with internal teams to tailor financial solutions for client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 3+ years of branch banking or 4+ years direct sales experience.
• Computer literacy in MS Office.
• Excellent communication and written/presentation skills.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for potential new clients and build pipeline.
• Cold call within market to generate opportunities.
• Identify clients and decision makers within the client organization.
• Present new products and services to clients.
• Deposit portfolio management and growth.
• Compliance with AML, BSA and OFAC policies.
• Submit weekly progress reports.
• Meet sales goals for new deposits.
