Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience in banking, credit union, or financial services environment.
• Strong experience performing high-volume account reconciliations.
• Experience researching and resolving complex accounting discrepancies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and formulas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations.
• Research, analyze, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and outstanding items.
• Reconcile cash accounts, general ledger accounts, suspense accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with month end, quarter end, and year end close activities.
• Record journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
• Review bank transactions and investigate variances, exceptions, and unreconciled items.
• Support external and internal audits by providing requested documentation and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and banking regulations.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Operations, Finance, and other business units to resolve accounting issues.
• Prepare financial reports and account analyses for management review.
• Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes and efficiency.
