Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Director of Banking and Payments IT M&A to lead due diligence, integration, and separation strategy for major financial services transactions. You will oversee Buy- and Sell-Side IT assessments focused on banking and payments ecosystems, delivering executive reports with strategic recommendations.

You will shape go-to-market strategies for payments tech M&A, define operating models, and govern multi-vendor programs.

Qualifications

8+ years in technology consulting or leadership, with IT transformation and M&A experience.
MBA preferred; Bachelor’s in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field required.
Proven track record leading IT-focused M&A engagements in Financial Services (banking/payments).
Experience with AI-powered due diligence, synergy analysis and integration planning is a plus.
Willingness to travel; authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Lead Buy-Side and Sell-Side IT due diligence assessments for banking/payments platforms.
Direct IT integration and separation initiatives from planning through execution.
Develop go-to-market strategies for payments technology M&A offerings.
Establish governance frameworks and risk management for multi-vendor programs; use AI-powered tools for timelines and risks.
Lead executive-level discussions with CIOs/CTOs and payments leaders; mentor junior staff.
Uphold integrity and professional standards in a collaborative environment.
