Forvis Mazars US is seeking a Director to grow and lead our Financial Services payments practice. This role requires advising banks, payment networks, and fintech on strategy, digital assets transformation, and operating model modernization.

You will lead client engagements and drive market-facing initiatives while building a high-performing team. The Director will act as a client-facing payments strategist, guiding advisory work and shaping offerings across retail and commercial banking

Qualifications

• Deep experience advising banks, payment networks, and fintech on payments strategy.
• Experience leading complex advisory engagements in retail and commercial payments.
• Strong understanding of emerging rails and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead banking payments advisory engagements across cards, Fedwire / FedNow, ACH, RTP, SWIFT, digital wallets, and emerging rails.
• Advise bank executives on modernization roadmaps, regulatory impacts, and business outcomes.
• Translate complex payments ecosystems into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

This role is for an individual who has advised banks, payment networks, and fintech companies on payments strategy, digital assets transformation (stablecoins / tokenized deposits), and operating model modernization.

The Director will serve as a client-facing payments strategist, leading complex advisory engagements across retail and commercial banking payments, while also driving market-facing initiatives, business development, and team leadership.

What You Will Do

Client Advisory & Engagement Leadership

• Lead banking payments advisory engagements, including cards, Fedwire / FedNow, ACH, RTP, SWIFT, digital wallets, and emerging payment & settlement rails
• Advise bank executives on payments strategy, modernization roadmaps, and regulatory impacts
• Translate complex payments ecosystems into actionable recommendations for executive stakeholders
