Job summary

MRV Banks in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Banking Applications and Data Analyst to join our technology team. This hands-on role involves writing code, working with data, and building tools that people actually use to support decision-making.

You will develop applications and automation using Python, SQL, and Visual Basic; design SQL queries and data processes in Microsoft SQL Server; build reports and dashboards; and integrate banking systems via APIs, SFTP, and databases.

Qualifications

• Have a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Software Development or related field.
• Experience with Python and SQL through work, internships, coursework, or projects.
• Understand relational databases and enjoy working with data.
• Like solving problems and building things, not just talking about them.
• Translate business problems into technical solutions.
• Work well with both technical and non-technical people.
• Pay attention to details and ensure numbers are accurate.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and research unfamiliar topics.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications and automation using Python, SQL, and Visual Basic.
• Design SQL queries, stored procedures, and data processes using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Build reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Integrate banking systems using APIs, SFTP, databases, and other technologies.
• Identify manual processes and develop faster, more efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with bank employees to understand business needs and turn them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, test, document, and maintain applications and reporting solutions.
• Explore new technologies, including AI and automation, to improve customer and employee services.
