Job summary

Dime Commercial Bank in Riverhead, NY is seeking a Customer Service Associate for its Riverhead Branch. You will handle routine bank transactions, respond to inquiries, and ensure accurate completion of customer requests. Prior experience as a Universal/Relationship Banker is a plus.

The role is on-site with an hourly wage of $22–$29, depending on skills, training, licenses, and location. A HS diploma and 1 year of retail banking experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of retail banking experience required; prior bank roles are a plus.
• Cash-handling experience preferred and accepted.
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues and ensure compliance.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and record-keeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cash advances, cashier's checks, night drop bags).
• Reconcile cash drawer by counting cash and packaging currency/coins.
• Provide full account services to Dime customers.
• Respond to inquiries and recommend suitable Dime products and services.
• Support Branch Manager through in-branch sales and outreach campaigns.
• Report under BSA requirements (CTR, SAR) and internal tracking.
• Perform New Account and File Maintenance reviews for data integrity (SOX 404).
• Maintain current knowledge of banking regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to service clients' lending needs and refer appropriately.
• Make decisions within authority for overdrafts/overrides/signatures where applicable.
• Cross-train on teller and banking platform as needed.
