LOCATION: This position will provide Banking Center Manager coverage for the banking centers in the Greater New Orleans, LA metropolitan market.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the overall sales, production, profitability, and regulatory compliance of a banking center. It also ensures the delivery of quality, accurate, and timely customer service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic leadership
- Coach, lead, and manage banking center team to ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives.
- Model and demonstrate First Horizon Bank (Firstpower) culture. Promote a positive work environment by increasing and supporting associate engagement.
- Represent the company professionally, including involvement in local market/community through civic organizations or community groups.
Sales and business development
- Implement and coach advice-driven sales processes. Provide coaching, inspect, and recognize sales activities and behaviors.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to expand the client base. Collaborate with business partners to promote effective One Team partnerships.
- Drive business development through proactive sales calls, networking, and participation in local activities to meet goals.
- Deliver excellent client experiences and resolve issues promptly.
Team management
- Recruit, train, develop, and retain a high-performing team.
- Lead, coach, and motivate staff to execute banking routines aligned with our Purpose, Values, and Actions.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Create an inclusive, collaborative work environment that fosters teamwork and professional growth.
Compliance and risk management
- Work with leadership to ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and internal controls, and ensure team training completion.
- Implement risk management practices to minimize financial and operational risks.
Operational efficiency
- Lead operational excellence, monitor metrics, and implement improvements. Partner with Retail Operations to address concerns.
- Control operational and administrative expenses.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory responsibilities
Direct and evaluate personnel, including hiring, training, performance assessments, and addressing employee issues, in accordance with policies and laws.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years related experience or equivalent. Must pass background and credit checks and comply with S.A.F.E. regulations. Ongoing employment contingent on meeting these requirements.
