Job summary

Northeast Bank is seeking a Lead Teller in Brunswick, ME to manage daily operations of a full-service Banking Center and serve as the first point of contact for customers. You will process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, provide account information, and coach tellers to deliver excellent service.

You will also promote a sales/service culture, refer customers to specialists, and ensure compliance with bank policies.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in banking, insurance, retail, hospitality, or related field.
• Thoroughness and strict attention to detail.
• Excellent mathematical skills.
• Competence with computers and office equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills, tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Ability to make sound decisions balancing customer needs and risk.
• Have perspective in relating to individuals at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Process retail and commercial financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and cashing checks.
• Provide customers with basic account information and recent activity.
• Maintain knowledge of Bank products and make recommendations.
• Generate referrals for deposits and small-business loans.
• Promote a sales and service culture aligned with Bank objectives.
• Coach Tellers and Senior Tellers to assess customer needs and solutions.
• Assist Banking Center Manager with onboarding and training.
• Ensure banking center compliance with security, safety, and audit procedures.
• Open/close Banking Center and balance cash drawer daily.
• Record transactions accurately and provide basic reports as needed.
