Job summary

FNBO is seeking a Compliance Data Enablement Intern in Boulder for hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement within the Compliance Monitoring & Testing and Data Enablement teams.

You will learn and apply Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, and automation tools while ensuring confidentiality and accurate data handling. The hybrid role balances on-site collaboration with remote work.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program in data analytics, business analytics, information systems, computer science, finance, accounting, economics, compliance, risk management, or related field.
• Strong academic performance or coursework demonstrating data analysis, reporting, or problem solving.
• Interest in learning how compliance, risk management, data practices support oversight and decision making.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to data accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; pivot tables, lookups, and data cleanup are a plus.
• Exposure to data visualization or dashboarding tools such as Power BI; basic SQL/Python exposure preferred.
• Interest in using approved AI and automation tools to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering, organizing, validating, and analyzing compliance-related data under guidance.
• Support creation and maintenance of dashboards, trackers, and reports for stakeholders.
• Identify trends, data quality issues, and improvement opportunities; summarize observations clearly.
• Document data sources, definitions, assumptions, and reporting logic for consistency.
• Test and review reports, trackers, and automation outputs for accuracy.
