Job summary

First National Bank in Maine is seeking a full-time teller to join our team. Schedule is Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays, and the pay range is $17–$19 per hour. This role offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

You will provide high-quality service, sell bank products, and refer customers to the right specialists while maintaining confidentiality and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Cash handling experience.
• Direct customer service experience.
• Sales and computer experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer banking transactions in teller system following bank policies and procedures.
• Determine customer needs to effectively sell bank products and make referrals to other bank personnel.
• Meet branch goals for deposit growth and account openings, including IRAs.
• Explain account ownership, FDIC coverage, and related regulatory considerations.
• Provide loan and deposit information and assist with product comparisons and enrollment.
• Investigate and correct errors reported by customers; escalate unusual activity as needed.
• Open Deposit Accounts and manage account maintenance tasks such as holds and stops.
• Maintain the branch's safe deposit box system, including rentals and access.
• Accept requests to wire funds and complete associated forms.
• Demonstrate understanding of BSA regulations and complete required training.
• Recognize common scam/fraud scenarios and report internally.
