First Mid Bank & Trust seeks a Universal Banker/Teller I in Beloit, WI. The role focuses on delivering quality service, handling routine transactions with accuracy, and opening accounts to meet customer needs.

You will greet customers, process deposits and withdrawals, and support sales of banking products while ensuring compliance and security. A strong customer-service mindset and basic office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Previous sales experience preferred.
• Completion of required compliance and First Mid training curriculum is required.

Responsibilities

• Create a quality service experience by ensuring timely resolution to customer needs and overall customer satisfaction.
• Greet customers and make them feel welcome at First Mid Bank & Trust.
• Process transactions with accuracy and efficiency within policy guidelines (deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, cashier's checks, etc.).
• Gain manager assistance for suspicious transactions and obtain approvals for transactions outside authorized limits.
• Adhere to all banking compliance, security and operational policies; maintain a balanced cash drawer and assist with branch duties.
• Open accounts (checking, savings, safe deposit box, basic business accounts).
• Look for ways to improve processes that enhance the customer experience and report ideas to management.
• Support bank promotions and community events as needed.
• May work at other First Mid Banking centers.
