Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of accounting theory, standards, and principles as applied to bank situations.
• College degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• Analytical ability to recognize accounting problems and propose solutions.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate simple office machines.
• Self-motivated and creative.

Responsibilities

• Keeps Controller or Director of Finance informed of progress on assignments and special projects.
• Ensures record keeping for assigned activities complies with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
• Seeks ongoing system enhancements to heighten productivity and efficiency.
• Completes in a timely manner all reporting schedules defined by the Controller or Director of Finance.
• Engages in self-development to increase competence.
• Adheres to the highest legal and ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
