Job summary

Seacoast Bank is seeking an accounting/finance professional to support the Controller/Director of Finance. The role emphasizes adherence to bank policies, regulatory requirements, and ongoing process improvements within the department.

The position requires at least two years of accounting experience, a college degree in Accounting/Finance, and strong Excel/Office software skills. Candidates should be self-motivated and capable of independent work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the theory, standards, and principles of accounting and their applications to bank situations gained through a minimum of two years experience.
• College degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• Computer literacy in Windows, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access

Responsibilities

• Keeps Controller or Director of Finance informed of progress on assignments, pertinent activities and special projects requested.
• Ensures record keeping for assigned activities and projects is in compliance with bank policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Seeks ongoing system enhancements to heighten productivity and efficiency for activities executed within the department.
• Completes in a timely manner all individually identified reporting schedules as defined by the Controller or Director of Finance.
• Increases own competence by a continuing program of self-development.
• Adheres to the highest legal and ethical standards applicable to our industry, while observing both the spirit and letter of all government regulations and law, and bank policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.
