Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year switchboard/secretarial experience preferred.
• Excellent command of English and grammar.
• Experience in a customer service environment preferred.
• Excellent phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Opening and actively managing the switchboard.
• Provide callers with general bank information (address, directions, website, etc.).
• Transfer callers to voicemail or take messages as needed.
• Direct calls according to customer need.
• Answer inquiries about account status over the phone.
• Assist with debit card fraud forms.
• Process deposits and transfers between accounts.
• Assist customers with online banking password resets.
• Print debit cards and balance accounts as needed.
• Notify about suspicious activity and forward fraud to bookkeeping.
• Prepare lobby according to opening/closing procedures.
• Assist in mail collection/processing.
• Balance branch cash and related accounts.
• Handle clerical tasks (photocopying, faxing, filing).
• Follow bank policies and regulations.
• Maintain professional appearance.
• Cross-sell bank services.
