Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring a Bank Teller to start with a Fortune 100 Financial Institution in Charleston, SC. This is a contract, full-time onsite role at 1319 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, with a 40-hour workweek.

Salary is $19.00 per hour. Schedule is Mon-Fri 8:00am-6:00pm and Sat 8:00am-2:30pm, with 2-3 Saturdays per month possible. Benefits may apply; on-site work only.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of cash handling experience in in-person customer service, retail, and banking industry.
• Bank Teller experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email.
• High School Diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with full range of client banking products and services.
• Perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision.
• Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans.
• Assist members with submitting loan applications and cross-sell products.
• Counsel members about products and services.
• Ensure cash and negotiable instruments are handled properly.
• Cross-sell products to increase product penetration.
• Perform platform banking functions.

Job Description

• To provide members and prospective members the full range of products and services offered by the client including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts; Lending products; and credit/debit cards.
• To perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision.
• Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans
• Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications
• Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services
• Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly
• Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product penetration
• Perform platform banking functions

Experience

• 1-3 years of cash handling experience in in-person customer service, retail, and banking industry
• Bank Teller experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email.
• High School Diploma is required.

Schedule

• Full-time/ 40 hours per week
• MUST be available between Monday-Friday: 8:00am-6:00pm, Saturday: 8:00am-2:30pm
• Could be expected to work 2-3 Saturdays a month depending on business need

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
