Job summary

TEKsystems is hiring a Bank Teller to support a Fortune 100 financial institution in Schaumburg, IL. The role involves handling a range of banking products, promoting services, and processing transactions in a fast-paced branch environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years cash handling experience and strong communication skills. A High School Diploma is required. This is a full-time, onsite contract position with scheduling including weekdays and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of cash handling experience in in-person customer service, retail, and banking industry.
• Bank Teller experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email.
• High School Diploma is required.

Responsibilities

Branch Location: 1408 North Meacham Road, Schaumburg, Illinois, 60173, United States

Job Description:

• To provide members and prospective members the full range of products and services offered by the client including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts; Lending products; and credit/debit cards.

• To perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision.

• Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans

• Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications

• Counsel current and prospective members about company products and services

• Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly

• Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product penetration

• Perform platform banking functions

Experience:

• 1-3 years of cash handling experience in in-person customer service, retail, and banking industry

• Bank Teller experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and via email.

• High School Diploma is required.

Schedule:

• Full-time/ 40 hours per week

• MUST be available between Monday-Friday: 8:00am-6:00pm, Saturday: 8:00am-2:30pm

• Could be expected to work 2-3 Saturdays a month depending on business need

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.42 - $21.42/hr.
