First Merchants is a community-focused bank seeking a customer-focused associate in Plainfield, IN. You will respond to customer requests, process transactions, balance cash, and help protect customer privacy while supporting daily banking center operations.

Role involves selling bank products, making referrals, and participating in meetings and coaching to drive loyalty and advocacy within a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with ability to resolve inquiries and issues.
• Basic cash handling and sales experience relevant to banking.

Responsibilities

• Responding to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Answering customer inquiries and problems with solutions that meet the customer’s current needs.
• Continually building customer loyalty and customer advocates.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
• Understand compliance, regulations and reporting.
• Follow information security policy and verification procedures to protect customer privacy.
• Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
• Sell bank products, make referrals and other activities to support goals.
• Know about all bank products.
• Participate in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions.
