Job summary

Upstart is seeking a Finance Manager, Bank Finance, to own and evolve the bank's integrated financial model, forecasting, and regulatory reporting. You’ll partner with Treasury, Risk, Accounting, Product, and other teams to deliver reliable forecasts and actionable insights for executive leadership.

You’ll help build the financial planning infrastructure for a growing digital bank while interacting with senior executives and contributing to strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Corporate Finance, Treasury Finance, Capital Planning, Asset Liability Management, Strategic Finance, or FP&A.
• Experience working within a bank, fintech, consumer lender, or other regulated financial institution
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including experience building and maintaining complex financial models

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the bank's integrated financial model across the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, capital, liquidity, and regulatory forecasting
• Develop long-range forecasts, scenario analyses, and planning assumptions that support strategic planning and regulatory readiness
• Support strategic planning by evaluating new products, funding strategies, and balance sheet initiatives through financial modeling and scenario analysis
• Continuously improve model governance, automation, and forecasting accuracy
• Monitor financial and operating performance through recurring reporting and variance analysis; identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities; Build dashboards and reporting for transparency
