Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's HomeCall Baltimore is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients in home care settings. You will implement treatment plans, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients to improve wellbeing under supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The role requires current PT guidance, reliable transportation, and weekend availability. We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package as part of a dedicated team serving the community.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Driver's license and access to a vehicle, or reliable transportation
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing provision of physical therapy in home care and implement treatment set by supervising PT
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and prosthetic training
• Observe and report patient responses; coordinate care with health care team
• Educate patient, family, caregiver, and others on therapy within scope of PTA
