Job summary

Wings Credit Union is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage general ledger activities and close processes. You will ensure GAAP compliance, review journal entries, and support internal and external audits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least 3 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail. Join during a period of growth and work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 3+ years accounting experience Required
• Detailed knowledge of GAAP, accounting standards, corporate policies, and procedures regarding accounting
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in completing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close in an accurate and timely manner.
• Review, auditing, and maintaining a complete and accurate general ledger, including journal entries for a variety of expenses and transactions.
• Review and audit accounts and balances to ensure accuracy for month-end close.
• Assist with internal/external audits by preparing schedules, researching data, and providing explanations.
