Job summary

Wings Credit Union, formed from a merger with Ent Credit Union, seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage complex general ledger activities and timely close processes. You will guide staff across departments, review reconciliations, and support audits while maintaining high accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

Role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of accounting experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP, accounting standards, corporate policies and procedures.
• Experience with general ledger and month-end close processes.
• High accuracy and attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in completing monthly, quarterly, and annual close accurately and timely.
• Review, audit, and maintain a complete general ledger, including complex reconciliations and related entries.
• Review branch vault cash, tax withholding payments, and unposted account transactions.
• Assist with internal/external audits and provide schedules and explanations as needed.
• Create and update accounting procedures and seek process improvements.
