Job summary

Community Services Group is seeking a Bakery Instructor to train adults in job skills and bake goods for sale to restaurants and the public. The role reports to the Program Director and supports a trauma-informed, inclusive, diverse work culture.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, at our on-site bakery in Sunbury. Requires 1 year baking/decorating cakes, and a valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle for deliveries and trainings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year baking and decorating cakes experience required.
• 1 year experience in Vocational Rehabilitation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle for trainings and deliveries.
• Knowledge of ServSafe standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and monitors individuals in bakery tasks and helps develop job skills.
• Coordinates and produces daily bakery orders and ensures timely documentation.
• Performs quality control on all baked goods and manages inventory.
• Delivers orders as needed and supports in community transports.

The Bakery Instructor reports directly to the Program Director or designee.This position is part of our Adult Mental Health (MH) Services CSG Bakery which is a vocational training program that assists adults with Behavioral Health Diagnoses and/or Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in developing work skills. The Bakery is a training program and a full scale business that produces baked goods for sale to area restaurants and the general public.
