Job summary

Marukai seeks a deli/bakery associate in Irvine, CA to process, cut and wrap bakery items, keep back stock organized, and assist customers with product choices. You will work closely with management to maintain a clean, well‑stocked shop floor and uphold safety standards.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and be 18+, with familiarity in deli/bakery equipment and a CA Food Handling license or the ability to obtain one. This is a temporary position with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ to use sharp knives and operate power-driven machinery.
• Experience with deli/bakery equipment is a plus.
• CA Food Handling license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Process, cut, and wrap Bakery items.
• Maintain organized back stock and cooler area.
• Maintain good communication with store management, associates and suppliers/vendors.
• Foster a positive environment of teamwork and morale.
• Advise customers on healthy food and product options.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the Bakery areas.
• Follow employee handbook and service standards.
• Meet store standards in service, quality, and cleanliness.
