Job summary

Fresh Grocer of Wyncote is seeking a Bakery Associate to assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations, including pricing, stocking and rotating items to maintain a neat, appealing department. The role requires safe, efficient execution of duties within company policy.

Responsibilities include stocking, sanitation, customer service, and adherence to QA standards. This position involves lifting up to 50 lbs and working in variable temperatures in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products with potential allergens.
• Ability to maintain sanitation and QA standards.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to follow schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, utensils, and equipment per QA standards.
• Keep floor area free of debris and spills.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and proper stocking.
• Ensure accurate signage for the department and price marking.
• Assist in other departments when instructed.
• Follow company safety policies and hygiene requirements and uniform standards.
