Job summary

The Fresh Grocer in Nicholas NJ is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, pricing, stocking, and merchandise rotation. You will help maintain a clean, attractive department and provide friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied temperatures, and follow QA standards and safety rules. This role requires teamwork and reliable attendance at all scheduled times.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write, speak English fluently.
Ability to perform basic math operations.
Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work in varying temperatures.
Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe work environment.
Clean and sanitize surfaces, utensils, and equipment per QA standards.
Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
Rotate product to ensure freshness and proper stock levels.
Ensure accurate department signage and pricing.
Assist in bakery operations as required; follow company policies and safety rules.
Stand for long periods and work overtime as needed.
