Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Bakery Department Manager-in-training to supervise guest service, merchandising programs and daily bakery operations. This role includes stepping into Department Manager duties in their absence to ensure continuity of leadership and customer experience.

The candidate will oversee staff, maintain product quality, sanitation, inventory, scheduling, and timely communications with store management. Training and development are emphasized to uphold Lowes Foods standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform PA announcements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
