Job summary

Foodland Super Market, Ltd in Hawaii is hiring an Assistant Bakery Manager to oversee bakery operations on-site. The role is full-time with an hourly rate and requires evening and weekend availability.

Responsibilities include supervising bakery clerks, inventory control, merchandising, and stepping in for the Bakery Manager as needed. A strong emphasis on customer service and adherence to policies is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass physical test.
• Must have at least 1 year experience in bakery department operations.
• Tuberculosis Clearance required or Willing to take test upon offer.
• Must comply with all company policies and requirements.
• Applicant should be able to reliably commute to work on time.
• Must have open availability for various shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performing all the duties and job functions of an experienced Bakery Clerk.
• Follow approved procedures for receiving product, price marking, and restocking cases to ensure quality protection, accuracy, and product rotation.
• Follow all inventory control procedures to maximize product freshness, quality, turnover, and availability for maximum sales.
• Assist customers and will properly merchandise products in display cases and price correctly according to company standards.
• Assistant Bakery Managers will assume the responsibility of Bakery Manager in his/her absence.
