Vallarta Supermarkets is hiring an Assistant Bakery Manager to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, team leadership, and customer-focused service. You will help manage merchandising, safety, inventory, and pricing while mentoring bakery staff.

The role requires 3+ years baking experience or 1+ year in bakery management, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced retail setting. We value quality and teamwork.

• Knowledge of bakery products, ingredients, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and team members with a smile, providing extraordinary service and assistance with bakery and cake orders.
• Assist in scheduling, training, delegating, and evaluating bakery personnel. Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and customer care expectations.
• Support bakery sales projections, manage inventory, review invoices, and ensure accurate pricing, codes, and labeling.
• Prepare, bake, and decorate breads, pastries, and cakes with consistency in taste, weight, and appearance.
• Merchandise products, keep cases full, rotate stock, and maintain clean, appealing displays.
• Promote food safety, sanitation, and the Bakery Safety Program. Correct unsafe acts and enforce health code regulations.
• Assume Bakery Manager responsibilities when needed, ensuring smooth department operations.
• Keep bakery equipment, floors, and workspaces clean, organized, and compliant with Vallarta and health department standards.
