Job summary

CareersInGrocery.com is seeking a Bakery Team Lead to oversee the bakery department and its staff, driving merchandising, sales and service goals across the store. You will direct activities and supervise personnel to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

The role involves leading in a fast-paced bakery environment, ensuring accurate pricing and weights, keeping areas clean, assisting with cake decoration, and delivering friendly, efficient service to guests daily.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.
• Ability to supervise bakery department personnel.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all bakery department activities and personnel.
• Ensure accurate weights and pricing using the scale printer machine.
• Maintain clean and orderly production, storage areas, and walk-in coolers/freezers.
• Assist decorators and bakers with cake icing and decoration.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Display goods following merchandising guidelines.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
