Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a bakery department leader to ensure products are prepared and displayed per company standards, supervise bakery staff, and drive department sales and customer service. The role emphasizes people leadership, inventory accuracy, and safety in a fast-paced retail bakery.

The ideal candidate will oversee hiring, training, and scheduling, forecast sales using historical data, and maintain in-store ordering and inventory processes while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required; two+ years related experience.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Partners must be 21+ to drive for Company business per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, and develop partners; plan, direct, and evaluate work; manage performance and attendance.
• Review historical data to predict future bakery sales and promotions.
• Manage bakery inventory to maintain in-stock levels and order accuracy.
• Oversee profitability: bakery sales, labor, and cost controls; report to upper management.
• Ensure quality control and food safety standards; rotate dated products.
• Assist with bakery production, decoration, packaging, and occasional delivery as needed.
