Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a bakery team member to ensure baked goods are prepared and displayed to standard while supporting department goals. You will work with bakery staff to promote sales and customer service, and assist with production, decorating, and packaging to satisfy customers.

The role calls for strong communication, attention to safety, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced store environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1+ year bakery or retail experience preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age; 21+ to drive per policy.
• Food Handler certification and Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop partners; schedule, plan, assign, and direct work.
• Review historical data on sales, ads and promotions.
• Co-manage inventory to maintain in-stock levels.
• Review profit, loss, sales, shrink and labor data with manager.
• Maintain quality control and food safety; inspect baked goods.
• Decorate, package, label, and merchandise baked goods; assist catering.
• Greet customers and take orders by phone and in person.
