Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Reno, NV is seeking a Team Member to support Bakery operations: receiving and preparing product, stocking shelves, and maintaining displays to WFM standards. You will engage customers, uphold health and safety rules, and contribute to a positive store image.

This role emphasizes proactive selling, teamwork, and product knowledge while performing opening, mid, and closing duties and assisting with inventory checks and sampling programs.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to sell proactively.
• Ability to learn product knowledge.
• Ability to maintain clean, well-stocked displays.
• Ability to follow health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked.
• Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health and sanitation procedures and safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; reports safety hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store leadership.
