Job summary

Franz Family Bakery in McMinnville, Oregon is seeking a dedicated sanitation worker to support our bakery operations. You will clean surfaces, floors and equipment, dispose wastes, and operate cleaning tools while maintaining food safety standards in a high-temperature environment.

Qualifications

• Cleaning surfaces (floors, ceilings, equipment) in bakery setting.
• Must meet food safety sanitation standards.
• Ability to work in high temperature environment with fast-paced machinery.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.
• Must join union within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs the cleaning of surfaces (floors, ceilings, equipment, etc.) in the entire bakery; including internal parts and surfaces of machinery and equipment.
• Disposes of bakery wastes and scraps in designated areas.
• Uses a variety of cleaning tools, buckets, mops, vacuums, brooms, air pressure devices and pressure washers during the normal course of a work shift.
• Works in a safe manner at all times.
• Periodically uses scissor lifts and ladders for scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
