Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry Arts, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years bakery production, product development, or food R&D.
• Hands-on experience developing breads and pastries.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin required.
• California Food Handler Card or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and improvement of bakery products (breads, pastries, baked goods).
• Research ingredients, techniques, and trends to drive innovation.
• Develop, test, and refine recipes for taste, texture, shelf life, and cost targets.
• Scale recipes from small-batch to commercial production; ensure feasibility.
• Standardize recipes, specs, procedures, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with bakery production teams to implement products and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, allergen labeling, and regulations.
