Campbell's in Camden, NJ is seeking an Associate Scientist, R&D – Snacks Bakery to join our Snacks Research & Development team. With oversight, this role develops product solutions for bakery projects, spanning idea conception to plant commercialization.

You will support benchtop development, pilot plant work, and plant trials, conduct routine testing, analyze data, and report findings for clearly defined project segments under established processes and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Bakery Science, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• 6 months of related experience in food product development or a consumer‑packaged goods environment may be included.
• Foundational knowledge of food science, product development, experimental design, and data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Product Development Support with ideation, benchtop prototyping, feasibility testing, pilot plant work, plant trials, startups, and quality programs.
• Assist with development, assessment, and validation of bakery formulations from benchtop through commercialization with guidance from R&D management and senior technical team members.
• Complete assigned tasks or clearly defined project segments across innovation, renovation, cost savings, quality improvement, and continuity of supply projects.
• Prepare product samples and support sensory, analytical, and product evaluations.
