Job summary

Aspire Bakeries USA in Newark, California is seeking a Scaler Operator to prepare and load ingredients into mixers to support bakery production while upholding quality and food safety standards.

The role operates ingredient conveyors, tracks lots, tunes equipment, assists with changeovers, and trains new team members. 1st shift with potential overtime; hourly pay $22.00–$23.50; candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and complete operational documentation and written forms in English.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to identify products and ingredients accurately using labels and production documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve basic equipment and process issues.
• Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, and load ingredients accurately according to batch specifications and production schedules.
• Operate ingredient conveying systems and maintain accurate lot tracking and production records.
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot process-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain product quality standards by verifying ingredient accuracy and following established procedures.
• Perform equipment adjustments, operator preventive maintenance, and support efficient changeovers.
• Train and support new team members while promoting safe and efficient work practices.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and GMP-compliant work environment.
