Job summary

Dawn Foods is seeking a Production 1A for its Louisville, Kentucky operation. You will work with raw materials, mix formulas, and batch materials for shipping, with opportunities to rotate across positions to gain cross-functional skills.

You will learn and apply GMP, HACCP, and safety standards while contributing to food quality and process efficiency. Training and advancement opportunities are available in a family-owned company with a long history in the baking industry.

Qualifications

• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Responsibilities

• Ensure all products meet specifications, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Learn and rotate between multiple positions to build cross-functional knowledge.
• Establish high housekeeping standards per GMP, AIB, IFS, and HACCP requirements.
• Operate computer systems as required in production processes.
• Operate auxiliary equipment as needed for each function.
• Follow GMPs, SOPs, and safety regulations in all tasks.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Demonstrate Dawn Values and support Circle of Excellence.
