Whole Foods Market is seeking a Production Department Lead in Florida to oversee daily baked goods production, training, and safety compliance. The ATL will mentor the team to achieve department goals and maintain quality across recipes and processes.

Qualifications

• Two years relevant experience as a Supervisor or Specialist.
• Thorough knowledge of products, buying, pricing, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational skills, excellent math skills.
• Follow directions and recipes.
• Ability to taste and evaluate all products to judge quality.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others as part of a team.
• Patient and enjoys working with and mentoring people.
• Take a proactive approach to problem solving, take initiative and be responsible.
• Ability to learn proper use of all equipment used during food preparation and cleanup.
• Available for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the department, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision of the Production Department under guidance from Team and Facility Leadership.
• Perform duties related to daily production of baked goods with precise mixing, dividing, shaping, proofing, and baking.
• Maintain quality, production standards, and follow the production schedule; print formulas and batch sizes.
• Interview, train, develop, and mentor Team Members to build a high performing team and positive morale.
• Maintain HACCP, FSMA and SSOP procedures and standards.
• Achieve budgeted expense levels and manage vendor relationships.
• Stay current with new products and incorporate into product mix.
• Collaborate with store and regional leadership; manage day-to-day operations safely.
