Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. seeks a Bakery Team Lead to supervise Team Members and support the Bakery Team Leaders. You will oversee day-to-day department flow, displays, and training activities to ensure strong performance and customer satisfaction.

You will train and mentor staff, manage inventory and safety compliance, and collaborate to sustain high morale and excellent service. This role requires a flexible schedule and a hands-on leadership approach.

Qualifications

• Retail or food retail experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise and delegate tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and coaching abilities.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory policies in a food environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Bakery Team Members.
• Works with Bakery Trainer to develop a high-performance team.
• Assists in training new Team Members using checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, stocked, and rotated.
• Opens and closes department per procedures.
• Ensures breaks are given as scheduled.
• Communicates team concerns to leadership.
• Sets and achieves high retail execution standards.
• Fosters positive teamwork and morale.
• Manages customer flow and responds to needs.
• Trains and mentors Team Members to reduce turnover.
• Provides performance evaluations and aligns with company goals.
