Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Chicago is seeking a Bakery Team Member to prepare, decorate, and stock breads and pastries. You will assist with mixing, baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling, while ensuring friendly service and clean, safe operations.

Flexibility for shifts and a fast-paced environment is essential. Responsibilities include maintaining Datapax production modules, stocking, seasonal production planning, and assisting customers with product selection.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality breads and pastries.
• Produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars.
• Performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products.
• Stocks dry products.
• Develops new recipes and production techniques for seasonal variance and productivity.
• Trains production personnel to high standards.
• Performs production planning and forecasting for events and holidays.
• Maintains all production modules in the Datapax system.
• Arrives on time and ready to work; attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling; answers phones and pages promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains clean working environment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
