Job summary

McKee Foods in Collegedale, TN is seeking a Process Operator II to support daily production on our bakery lines. You will monitor equipment, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot issues to keep products within our high standards while following safety rules.

The role includes rotating shifts with a 3rd shift schedule (Mon-Thu 5:30 p.m.–4:00 a.m. or as needed) and requires lifting up to 100 lbs, wearing steel-toed shoes, and maintaining precise records of formulas and batch data.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a LTO license.
• Willingness to be flexible and perform tasks and functions as needed.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and ability to work without direct supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and be organized.
• Minor equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to frequently lift and move 50-100 lbs.
• Steel-toed safety shoes.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with management, co-workers and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Makes mixes in the area of brew, dough, forming, proofing, frying, and glazing the product to ensure that they are made correctly.
• The make-up table, fryer, and proofer.
• Accurately following formulas.
• Keeps an accurate maintenance of inventory.
• Maintains accurate documentation of lot numbers and strainer checks.
• Moderates equipment set-up and maintenance.
• Responsible for keeping work area and equipment clean and orderly and keeps waste to a minimum.
• Documents production reports and enters measurement data and analyzes that information.
• Performs other duties as needed.
