Job summary

CraftMark Bakery is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our night-shift maintenance team. You will work on PLCs (Allen-Bradley Logix), HMI/SCADA projects, and motion systems in a fast-paced bakery environment.

This role emphasizes PLC programming and automation in daily operations. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with production to minimize downtime while ensuring GMP and safety adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent technical training.
• 1+ year of industrial controls or maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of processing, packaging, and similar production equipment.
• Hands-on PLC troubleshooting and programming experience; HMI/SCADA experience.
• Electrical installation and schematic reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing production and packaging equipment quickly and correctly.
• Planning and performing preventive maintenance; coordinating repair windows and rebuilds.
• Reducing downtime by improving system performance and reliability.
• Assisting with machine scheduling for repairs and major overhauls.
• Documenting work accurately in CMMS and maintenance records.
• Collaborating with maintenance and production partners.
