Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. maintains a bakery processing facility and seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive and corrective maintenance under supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with equipment installation, following maintenance schedules, and repairing motors, gear boxes, pumps, and piping.

The role requires rotating 12-hour night shifts and strict safety practices. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, forklift experience, and skills in welding,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience operating a forklift.
Welding, electrical and mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists in the installation of new equipment.
Follows preventative maintenance schedule.
Performs machine repair and installation such as replacing motors, rebuilding gear boxes, running threaded piping, welding piping, repairing pumps, and replacing packing shaft seals on cookers and pumps.
Diagnoses and replacement of equipment parts with little direction.
Ability to diagnose and repair control circuits and VFD installation.
Maintains a clean, safe work area and uses PPE; adheres to safety rules.
Attends safety meetings and may serve on Safety Committee.
All other duties as assigned.
