Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive and corrective maintenance in the plant under supervision. The role supports installation, fabrication, and ongoing equipment care in a bakery processing environment.

Responsibilities include following maintenance schedules, repairing motors and pumps, wiring and control circuitry, and training Level 1 staff as needed. Must maintain safe, clean work areas and participate in safety meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Experience operating a forklift is required.
• Experience in welding, electrical, and mechanical work is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the installation of new equipment.
• Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other personnel on special fabrication and construction projects.
• Follows preventative maintenance schedule.
• Trains Level 1 Maintenance personnel where applicable.
• Performs machine repair and installation tasks including motors, gear boxes, piping, pumps, seals, and welding.
• Conducts daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment.
• Diagnosis and replacement of equipment parts with limited direction.
• Diagnoses and repairs control circuits and VFD installations.
• Maintains clean and safe work area and adheres to safety rules.
