Job summary

Darling Ingredients Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive and corrective maintenance in our bakery processing facility. The role involves assisting with equipment installation, supporting the Maintenance Supervisor on projects, and following the preventative maintenance schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Experience in welding, electrical, and mechanical work.
• Vocational training preferred.
• 2 years of similar equipment maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation of new equipment.
• Assist maintenance supervisor and others on fabrication projects.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules.
• Train Level 1 maintenance personnel if beyond level 1.
• Repair and install machines; replace motors, gear boxes, pipes, seals.
• Grease and oil plant equipment daily.
• Diagnose and replace parts with minimal direction.
• Diagnose and repair control circuits and VFDs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and wear PPE.
• Attend safety meetings and participate on Safety Committee if asked.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
