Darling Ingredients Inc. seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive and corrective maintenance in our bakery processing facility. You will assist in installing new equipment and support the maintenance team across fabrication and installations.

The role requires welding, electrical, and mechanical competence, with a focus on safety and reliability. A 12-hour night shift is typical, with on-call availability as needed; prior forklift experience is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating a forklift is required.
• Welding, electrical and mechanical experience is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assists in the installation of new equipment.
• Assists the Maintenance Supervisor and/or other personnel on special fabrication and construction projects.
• Trains Level 1 Maintenance personnel if above level 1.
• Performs machine repair and installation (motors, gearboxes, piping, pumps, seals).
• Conducts daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment.
• Diagnoses and replaces parts with minimal direction.
• Diagnoses and repairs control circuits and VFD installations.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area; follows safety rules.
• Attends safety meetings and may join Safety Committee.
• All other duties as assigned.
