Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Bakery Leader to guide operations, lead a bakery team, and drive world-class performance across safety, quality, and cost. You will set strategic priorities, coach leaders, and ensure training aligned with the Operations Excellence Playbook.

The role requires a track record in manufacturing leadership within the food industry, strong people development, and a commitment to safety and quality. Travel is involved as needed to support multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Food Science, or a technical field; Masters preferred.
• 10+ years manufacturing experience, at least 5 years in the food industry.
• Demonstrated leadership of safety initiatives that drive a zero-injury culture.
• Participative management style with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proven track record leading operations improvements and daily performance.
• In-depth knowledge of baking science, process control and improvement tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Operations Excellence as a vision carrier and drive playbook execution across bakeries.
• Develop Department Leaders through onboarding, training, coaching, and feedback.
• Build a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, and professionalism.
• Uphold E5 Leadership Behaviors: consumer, operational capability, empowerment, development, ownership.
• Support Production, Maintenance, Sanitation and Shipping to meet schedule and orders.
• Collaborate with Business Unit leadership and cross-functional teams on improvements.
• Leverage technical competence to accelerate problem solving and implementations.
• Drive Quality and Food Safety through resources and system improvements.
• Deliver KPIs for People, Asset Reliability, Quality, Safety, Service and Cost.
• Lead Safety Integrated Management System and engage leaders and associates.
• Use data to set bakery priorities and drive results.
• Oversee bakery budgets and financial health.
