Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring an Assistant Maintenance Leader to guide the maintenance team in a large California baking facility. You will supervise mechanics, manage preventive maintenance, and oversee mid-size capital projects to ensure reliable bakery operations.

The role requires PLC knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to drive safety and compliance with federal regulations. A technical degree is preferred and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; technical degree a plus.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong PLC knowledge and ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the maintenance team of mechanics.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage mid-size capital projects and PM systems.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA and company policies.
• Train associates in safety procedures and LOTO/Confined Space.
