Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Texas is seeking a bakery associate to ensure baked goods meet company standards and are displayed to maximize sales. You will collaborate with bakery staff to support profitability, training teammates, and maintaining inventory control while delivering friendly service.

Responsibilities include preparing, decorating, packaging, labeling, and occasional delivery of baked goods, with emphasis on quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience; or an equivalent combination.
• Minimum of 18 years of age required; 21+ to drive company business.
• Food Handler certification and Manager Food Safety certification required.

Responsibilities

• Promote department sales and customer service to support profitability goals.
• Train and develop partners, schedule, plan, and direct work in bakery.
• Review historical data on sales, ads, and promotions; manage stock levels.
• Maintain quality control, rotate stock, and ensure safety standards.
• Prepare, package, label, cater, and occasionally deliver baked goods.
• Decorate products and merchandise displays to drive sales.
