Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) operates multiple banners and runs a bakery department in its stores. The Bakery team prepares, displays and promotes baked goods while delivering excellent customer service and supporting store profitability.

The role involves training partners, managing inventory, ensuring quality and safety, decorating products, and assisting with packaging, labeling and occasional delivery. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Partners must be 21 years of age or older to drive for Company business
• Food Handler certification required
• Manager Food Safety certification required

Responsibilities

• Works with bakery personnel to promote department sales and customer service to support profitability goals
• Train and develop partners; schedule, plan, assign and direct work
• Review historical sales data, manage inventory and ensure in-stock levels
• Maintain quality control and food safety standards; rotate dated products
• Assist with production including preparing, packaging, labeling, and delivery of baked goods
• Decorate and merchandise baked goods to promote sales
• Check truck inventory and manage ordering paperwork
• Provide friendly customer service by greeting customers and taking orders
